I think that this is the best way to start my travel blog - joining 81 individuals walk, run, and discover the beauty of Tingloy Island, off the coast of Batangas. I am a huge fan of adventure races. I love the excitement of watching the contestants go to different places and discover what the location has to offer. Henceforth, when I stumbled on the Tingloy Island Discovery Race - I tagged along two of my close friends for the adventure. And it was indeed an adventure! Tingloy Island is located off the coast of Mabini in Batangas. You get to the island by taking a 30-minute boat ride from Talaga Port. It has kept its beauty in silence for the past years even during the tourism boom of the country. Even if you check the internet, you will find little information on the beauty of the island. Most of the information are from travelers who have already visited the island. The island has 2 sides - the side that faces Batangas offers a more rugged terrain with beautiful rock formations while the other side offers white sand beaches comparable to that of Boracay. It is a very beautiful island. It has a lot to offer - trekking its peaks, bouldering, or simply just enjoying the white sand. I actually plan to visit the island soon so that I can fully enjoy its natural beauty before commercialism comes in. I strongly recommend that you visit the island and hopefully on my second visit, I will be able to give you more information on the island. POINTS OF INTEREST FOR BEACH LOVERS: Sepok Beach - the small white sand cove accessible be trekking or boat Magsasa Beach, San Juan - the white sand beach is just perfect! It is accessible by taking a tricycle from the Poblacion and a short walk through rice fields.
